Lead Q&A Tester

Location: Remote

We are looking for a Lead Q&A Tester with experience in both manual and automated testing. 

This role is focused on designing and implementing tests that ensure the quality and functionality of a product as well as leading and mentoring the team of Q&A testers.  

Role overview 

  • Lead and mentor the Q&A team. 
  • Resources onboarding. 
  • Q&A team operational support. 
  • Manage the performance of the team.  
  • Task distribution sprint by sprint. 
  • Identifying the functions of the software.  
  • Developing and executing test cases.  
  • Creating data based on functional specifications.  
  • Comparing test results with the expected output.  
  • Analyzing applications.  
  • Preparing test plans.  
  • Creating and maintaining testing documentation.  
  • Building and maintaining test framework for automated tests. 
  • Write technical documentation. 
  • Work with the developers, as well as data scientists and analysts to improve software.

What you’ll need to be successful 

As must-have: 

  • 2+ years of Q&A leadership experience. 
  • Experience in creating test automation (test plan, test strategy, test cases). 
  • Strong knowledge of software test design techniques. 
  • Previous experience in both manual and automated software testing.
  • Proven track record of success in component testing using Cypress test automation framework. 
  • Experienced in working with Git. 
  • Fluent English. 

As nice-to-have: 

  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL). 
  • Some experience or awareness of MS Azure or other cloud technologies. 
  • Experience with JIRA, Postman, Swagger, Xray, or Selenium. 
  • Experience with UI/UX design.
