A Data Scientist role built for the AI era.

You will collaborate with a team of professionals to gather business, architectural, and non-functional requirements, subsequently translating these into robust, scalable, and operational analytical solutions that integrate seamlessly with the overall data architecture. You will design applications based on the identified architecture, technology landscape, IT standards, and enterprise roadmaps, and support design implementation by addressing complex technical challenges encountered by the project team throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Role overview

• Identify business problems, and the data and methods that will actually answer them.
• Build and validate analytical models.
• Estimate, plan, and coordinate the delivery of large projects using the Scrum framework
• Use AI and automation in your own workflow: exploration, feature engineering, evaluation, documentation and automate what you find yourself repeating.
• Build and evaluate LLM-based components where they fit the problem: retrieval, extraction, classification, or summarisation over unstructured data.
• Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured customer data using advanced analytical solutions.
• Utilize various mathematical and econometric models to develop descriptive and predictive models that support better decision-making.
• Transform analyzed data into actionable insights and business value.
• Present findings clearly to audiences from analysts to executives.
• Create high-quality data visualizations.
• Communicate effectively with different departments and roles, such as product managers and engineers, to discuss complex data-driven findings and technical issues.
• Educate and train others on data science-related topics.
• Create a data science solution architecture.
• Propose holistic data science solutions for customer problems.
• Spot where AI can replace manual analysis across the team, and drive those initiatives rather than waiting for them to be assigned.

What you’ll need to be successful 

• Strong AI exposure is required:
  • Hands-on experience taking a model or AI system into production. You can tell us what broke, how you evaluated output quality, and what you changed as a result.
  • Practical use of LLMs in your own analysis work, and the judgement to know where they help and where they do not.
• Familiarity with at least one of these domains: CPG, Retail, and Commodity Trading.
• Data visualization skills – experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
• Familiarity with NLP/text mining (text quality and cleansing, similarity measures, fuzzy matching methodologies).  
• Hands-on experience delivering scaled solutions using data mining, statistics, or machine learning.
• Programming experience (Python preferred).
• Python and its data stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch or equivalent); R is a plus.
• Data-focused applied mathematics (statistical analysis, machine learning).
• RDBMS/SQL knowledge.
• Big Data stack; Spark / MLlib. 
• Proficiency with at least one of the Cloud providers. 
• Experience with Data Science solutions productionalization. 
• Master’s Degree in Economics, Computer Science, Math, Applied Statistics, or a related field.
• Fluent English.
